Many years ago, during a solo mountain hike in a Korean national park, I felt uneasy after encountering a group of men. Trusting my instincts, I sought safety and found myself chatting with a kind security guard at a nearby hotel.
He introduced me to walking meditation — a practice he and his wife followed every morning. This was my first encounter with mindfulness.
That night, I read Peace Is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh. I had never heard his name before, but his words planted a seed. A seed that grew into a lifelong practice of mindful living.
Over the years, I kept studying his teachings. I felt a quiet longing to visit Plum Village in France. This spiritual path eventually led me to design the Lotus Collection — inspired by the peace I found in those pages.
Thank you, Thay, for opening this path.
To be continued...
